The Glare - Are you a distracted driver?
You've likely given it. You've probably received it.
The glare. So what is it?
It’s the look you give in traffic when another driver is so busy settling a fight between their own kids they almost run over someone else’s.
Maybe you’ve received the glare because you were paying too much attention to your cell phone, CD player or the lid of your coffee cup to notice the amber light was about to turn red.
CAA wants to reduce the number of glares given—and received—on our roadways.
This interactive website will move us to that goal by letting you:
- Read the personal experiences of our Members who have given or received a glare
- Send an e-card to your local MPP encouraging them to support a bill to ban novice drivers from using hand-held electronic devices while driving
- Get tips on how to reduce your distracted driving behaviours
- Use an online quiz to gauge how distracted you are behind the wheel
Set a glaring example of non-distracted driving for other motorists.
