Community Action
Ontario's Roads
Each year, CAA and the Ontario Road Builders' Association compile a list of the 20 Worst Roads in Ontario - as voted by CAA Members and the general public. This program has been tremendously successful thanks to the action municipal governments have taken to improve the majority of the roads named since the list's inception in 2003. In 2010, we incorporated a Best Roads component to the campaign as well which asked drivers to nominate the roads in their communities that were the smoothest, best maintained and in the overall best condition to drive on.
This year CAA South Central Ontario is putting the annual campaign in park until 2012 - but with good reason. We want your feedback this year to make the 2012 campaign bigger and better than ever! By taking a year off, and resuming Worst Roads in the spring of 2012, the campaign will recommence during the spring thaw, when our roads are in the worst shape and in need of the most attention following the harsh elements of winter.
There is still much work to be done to keep our roads in good repair - and with your help, we'll get there.
