Each year, CAA and the Ontario Road Builders' Association compile a list of the 20 Worst Roads in Ontario — as voted by CAA Members and the general public. This program has been tremendously successful thanks to the action municipal governments have taken to improve the majority of the roads named since the list's inception in 2003.
This year, the Worst Roads campaign is back — but with a twist. While we still want your votes for the Worst Roads in the region, the ones you want fixed, we also want your votes for the Best Roads as well.
A Worst Road is any road or paved infrastructure, including bridges, which you feel is 'in need of desperate repair'. It could have damaging pot holes, need resurfacing or be unsafe and contribute to frequent accidents or a danger to both motorists and pedestrians.
A Best Road is again any paved infrastructure which you vote for as being a pleasure to drive thanks to it being congestion free, free of damage to the pavement or curbs, litter free and safe for both drivers and pedestrians.
