The Holes have been filled but it just made the road worse, its bummpy, hard on vehicles and its not god for big transport trucks to try to drive on

Road is full of potholes, heaving pavement, large cracks, poor drainage and excessive ponding whenever it rains or when snow melts. Road at the very least should have storm sewers or proper ditches. On-street parking next to Sunnidale Park consists of a filthy, muddy shoulder. Rather embarrassing whenever I have guests with me from out of town.

All the pot holes, repair jobs, and the rail way tracks are the worst they can take your muffler or wheel struts off your vehicle. (thats at Bayview and Big Bay Point the tracks).

The street is filled with large pot holes and buckled payment, it's especially bad between Codrington and Steel streets where road improvements did not extend to when they widened Duckworth Street several years ago.

disgrace! potholes, construction ongoing forever and road closures due to incompetence of construction firm with 4 gas main breaches, no access to businesses entrances, wear and tear on all of our families vehicles because of poor road conditions and the city for hiring them.

2 line road with heavy usage

Road is currently a two lane road that is heavily traveled by both vehicle and pedestrian traffic due to no sidewalks along this stretch. Stretches of this same road on either side of this section are four lanes. This section is used by many vehicles as an alternative to Bayfield St. to access Hwy 400 from Hwy 26.

Ridge road also know as Shanty bay road, from the city limits all the way to the 13th line of oro, is bad.

Anne St. has been torn up for months and months. Instead of fixing it up in stages, the city has torn up the whole stretch between Dunlop and Tiffin & the repairs move with glacial slowness. Meanwhile, Anne St. is a total mess.

The road is so loaded with pot holes that you could end up with whip lash as you bounce over it. As a temporary fix, the pot holes are filled with asphalt, but because the road is never properly repaired, it is a bandaid at best. The bandaid only lasts for a few days then the pot holes are back.

Road is so old and never maintained; there are so many cracks & potholes; the road is so uneven; it's hard to tell if the road is a 4 lane or 2 lane.

Generally very rough with plenty of potholes. This is a heavily travelled street. Overall, Barrie must have some of the worst roads in this or any other province.

Construction, excavation and drainage is exceptionally poor in this area. While being stuck in construction traffic during a heavy down pour in this area which caused water to rise. I found my self stuck in the area & unable to get out Resulting in water entering my engine and permanently damaging putting a hole in my engine block. Leaving me with an $8000 repair bill estimate. I am doing the repairs myself and it has already cost me over $3000 and it is not done yet. CAA had to remove the car from the road a joining Anne Street @ John/wellington in August 2008 right when the damages occurred. The 99 Mitsubishi Eclipse is still not completely repaired and running. It now requires the new engine to be placed in the car and everything re connected. Anne Street is the worst road by far that I have ever seen! I am a CAA member but I do not know my number off hand.

Potholes, over-filled potholes and having to dodge them all. Wash outs on the sides of the road that have to get filled after the rains and then re-filled after the next heavy rain.

I've lived in the same neighbourhood for 22 years and I don't EVER recall Gunn Street being worked on. As a kid, we walked Gunn Street to go to school and it's just as bad now, if not worse. It's absolutely full of potholes, a sidewalk down one side of the street, partially down the other and kids walking to school have to walk on the road.

pot holes and very rough, have to use this route daily and it is wrecking my vehicle, sway bar, suspension etc. grrr.

The single lane bottleneck on either side of the 2km stretch of road is the start of the frustration for 1000's of daily drivers as they travel on this poorly maintained, pot-holed and lumpy pavement. It lies between Barrie's fastest growing community and the only highway, the 400. It is also the ONLY direct route to the highway for these folks (mightn't be a problem if more of us worked in Barrie - but that's a separate issue). Additionally, 100s more commuters join the congo line daily right through the middle of this section at both Madeline Drive and Country Lane.. and on a good rainy day expect that a 100 feet of the road gets entirely submerged by a backed up river. Much recent improvement has been done by the city on either side of this section of Mapleview, (applaud) but unfortunately it has not alleviated the problem just moved it a little.

Just absolutely brutal. They have been "fixing" it for years now. There are potholes everywhere and on top of dodging all the pot holes you have to dodge construction equipment littered accross the road. It is a road not even fit for rally drivers.

The road is filled with potholes and cracked pavement. Parking is allowed on both sides of the street in places, which makes it very dangerous for vehicles traveling down the road heading towards each other. The sensors in the traffic signals at Livingstone and Cundles do not operate properly.
