North Palmer Road by Moria is the worst section know to man. Do you conisder is asphalt when all it is is years of patches? I mean this road is THE WORST!

I HAVE LIVED FOR OVER 7 YRS IN THE DIRECT AREA & TRAVEL THE RD REGULARLY & IT IS DISGUSTING FILLED WITH POT HOLES, TOO NARROW, AND A HILL WITH COMPLETE BLIND SPOT. THIS AREA HAS OUTRAGEOUS PROPERTY TAXES AND NONE HAVE BEEN PUT TOWARDS THIS ROAD REPAIR. NOT SURPRISED AT ALL VOTED ONE OF THE WORST ROADS JUST SHOCKED THAT THE CITY HAS NOT REPAIRED.

Road is very narrow for two lanes traffic with a hill and bushes on side with no side walk making it dangerous for pedestrians. The condition of th road is terrible, it is very bumpy with numerous potholes. There are sections where the asphalt is totally crached into numerous small pieces no longer attached to the road.

By MacDonald Street, North Front has huge areas where the pavement has a path worn in and full of ruts. It is dangerous, cause once you are in the rut, between the lines it is unsafe. I am so surprised there has not been more accidents.

Too many potholes to count. They get larger by the day even though they are filled at least 30 or more times a year. I don't think there is much original road surface left, I think it is just filler or holes. You could lose a car in some of them at times.

The road full of pot holes, probably asphalted several decades ago. The worst possible road in the city of Belleville in a area of the city where the muncipal taxes are the highest. The rural roads are in much better shape than this road. The city can do better than this.

Pot holes every where, the road is falling apart from all the patch job done over the year. The edge of the road is crumbling apart leaving a lot of loose asphalt on the road.

The worst part of the road is over the hump where there are always pot holes. It's dangerous as drivers try to avoid them but cannot see the on coming traffic. As well, people walk to the bus stop over the hump and might get run over.

Too narrow and too many large potholes. With all of the new homes that have been recently built, the increased traffic is only adding to the problems. There's no centre line on the road either, which often results in someone taking more than their share of the road!

Been bad for many years. The part that's bad used to belong to Sidney Township, now Belleville. Pot holes, cracks, bumps, missing pavement, uneven pavement, poorly defined edge of road, narrow on hill, no sidewalk, no center line (all votes for Palmer Rd are for the same road, but don't seem to be lumped together with Palmer Road by the software)

Bumpy, uneven, patched a dozen times with too many potholes to count. In order to drive on the only drivable part of the road, you have to drive in the middle of the street. If you meet another car...be ready to fall off the edge of the earth.

I moved to Belleville in 2005 and the north stretch of the road was full of pot holes, cracks and breaking up. I was confident that the city would repave it soon, but no such luck. It remains in very poor condition and hard on vehicles.

This has to stop! It's crazy bumpy! It's uneven, i almost bottomed out with all the pot hots and unevenness of the road. There is a blind hill that you can't see anything over! But mayor, you're doing a great job otherwise ... but seriously! I almost died coming over that hill.

The road extends between two major roads making it a common route to the 1 high and 2 public schools in the area. The road is nothing but a cobbled mass of pothole fillings that have been undermined by poor drainage. The surrounding neighbourhoods could benefit from the improved drainage.

Without exaggeration this is the worst road in our City!! It is full of holes, has pieces out of it and also raised portions. It is very dangerous because the worst part of the road is on a hill and so people come up or down the hill on the wrong side of the road to avoid the worst parts of the road. Someone is going to have a very, very bad accident. It is terrible that it would take something like that before they fix this road. It needs immediate attention.

There are pot holes throughout the entire road.No where for people to walk up the hill near the end of the road which makes it very dangerous seeing how rough the road is. There is an extreme problem of speeding up that hill and not having any sidewalks makes it very dangerous.

The road is very old, warped, has been patched to many times, leaving with ruts, pot holes and LARGE bumps. Driving down most country roads are smoother than driving down this city street.

Road is extremely narrow and has many many potholes. We moved into this area in March of 1990 - told at that time that something would be done with this road after subdivision finished - since then numerous other subdivisions build - road has never been repaired, let along improved. There is one section where you go up/down a hill where it is hard to see oncoming traffic.

Very busy road narrow road, Numerous housing developments use this road and it has numerous potholes. Sometime the city workers throw a few shovels of asphalt into some holes and that last about a week.

There are no lines so no one knows where the centre of the road is. There is a blind section going up a rise where the pot holes are so bad you must drive towards the centre of the road but can't see on-coming traffic. The holes keep being filled in but it quickly comes out and they are numerous. There is no curb, the edge of the pavement is breaking away and you can easily lose control when you go off the edge of the road on to the gravel. This has been an on-going problem for over 10 years.

Huge potholes and ruts in the entire section of this Rd. It is extremely unsafe.There are currently no curbs ,although sidewalks would be a significant advantage from a safety point of view as there are many new houses in this area and it would be extremely beneficial for the safety of young people walking to school.An added bonus with sidewalks is to enable the general population to walk more and use cars less.

There is no sidewalk on the school side of the street, there is also lots of bumps, pretty rough, and makes it difficult to meet uncoming traffic. That also doesn't account for the fact that when the fair is in town this street is one of the busiest in town. There should be a sidewalk along by the school and the street should be resurfaced.

Large potholes, broken pavement, no shoulder...........has caused costly damage to our vehicle!!

This part of the road has been in disrepair since we moved to Belleville in 2001. Maintenance is poor at the best of times. The road is narrow and rough, the surface is uneven and has a number of defects in it. Large trucks use the road as a bypass to Hwy #37 from Hwy 62 and these in conjunction with the heavy construction vehicles from the new Staikos subdivision are creating an even rougher road.

Its way to bumpy/potholes and not wide enough so if you try to avoid the pot holes, your likely to get a head on collision as you go over the hill. , its not even worth the time to take it as a shortcut to bridge from Moira, your better off going all the way to Marshall St so that your car does not get broken

The City of Belleville announced to residents in the adjacent neighbourhoods that it was going to fix and repave this road three years ago (2006) To date, nothing has been done. It makes it treacherous for persons coming up the hill and there have been many near collisions. We moved from this area and were not sorry to leave this road behind. A shame, because there are many newer houses in this area and they deserve better than this, not to mention Nortel Networks also backs onto this road and they keep their property up. I think this section of (North) Palmer Road is also a school bus route and has been voted in the past as one of Belleville's worst roads. Shame.

ashpalt is broken, no curbs, each side of the road between asphalt and sidewalk is mainly weeds and dirt. Traffic kicks up all kinds of dust which covers residential windows. The road is at same level as sidewalks. People park on sidewalk because it is the same level as the road. Sidewalks are narrow and pedestrians walk down middle of road. It is a bus route and bus cannot turn onto Cedar from West Bridge without going into oncoming traffic. The road is bumpy and asphalt is missing in front of 59 Cedar. Where asphalt has been replaced, water pools and does not flow to drains eg 59 Cedar. Water floods over sidewalk in heavy rainfall from just south of 59 Cedar to Catharine Street. There have been many accidents at Catharine and Cedar because people go right through the stop sign. People have asked for the speed limit to be reduced because of the number of speeders using this old residential neighbourhood as a short cut between Dundas Street West and Moira Street. The request was denied by the traffic committee about five years ago because they felt the road was in such poor condition, no one would speed on it. Belleville does patch up work and the roads have never been a priority. I am told we pay the second highest assessment in the province.
