The intersection south bound on Sir John A crossing Princess is extremly rutted from over use and very dificult to navigate.

just pathetic. so bad it forces you to offroad almost on to peoples lawns. the entire middle of the road is cracked and broken. its brutal. with the speedbumps its even worse. this must be repaved. i see cars not even drive on the road but the shoulder cuz its so bad and im one of them.

Since 1982 this major city street has pounded cars to pieces.City patching makes it worse.Deep ruts in the pavement makes soaking pedestrians mandatory. Some potholes almost take the steering wheel right out of your hands. As a major access road to downtown it shows what our city counsel is worth.

With the exception of the stretch between Division St and Bagot St. road is like a roller coaster. Would not think of driving the speed limit on this road.

To give the city credit, the absolute worst sections in the downtown area have been resurfaced or are in the process of being completely rebuilt, however; the remaining section to Sir John A is horrible. I don't dare drive in the left lane. It's like a roller coaster.

The west side of the road is used by the "C" bus route. It's so rough that the buses bounce, bang and rattle their way from one end to the other -- and the noises made by the poor buses groaning in protest as they ride the road drown out the verbal announcements on the bus of the approaching bus stops. Having to run down Avenue Road will surely shorten the lifespan of the city buses. Other streets in Kingston bounce the buses too, but not like Avenue Road!

Pot Holes, Uneven, Shoulder is all pieces of broken up asphalt because the edge of the road is very jagged... I have never seen a road worse off that this!!!

Huge pot holes everywhere, I cringe every time my car hits one of them. I've had to do major repairs on my car because I live right off of brock. There are cracks and the surface is so uneven that you may as well go offroading

large pot holes and it appears that on occasion - road crews attempt repair by putting down 'shovelfuls' of ashphalt and then stepping on the ashphalt to level it. This does nothing.

Horrendous potholes along the entire length of the street. This is one of Kingston's main East/West arteries and our poor car takes a beating when we drive down this street.

The road has been patched so many times the sewer covers are so deep in the asphalt they are like fox holes from a war. The curbs have been adjusted somewhat but still did not prevent me from tearing out a grease fitting on my motorcycle when trying to enter a business' lot. The drivers in Kingston is another story.

Very large potholes, cracks and generally rough surface. This is a major (one way E-->W) artery/bus route in the downtown business and adjoining residential area (including Queen's university student housing and the Hotel Dieu Hospital). Unsafe for cars and much more so for bicycles. Major road and water/sewer reconstruction is currently underway in the mainly residential section with sections of the road being closed for months as roadwork is done. The downtown section has not yet been upgraded and remains in bad shape. As Queen's is also doing major reconstruction, parts of one other major e-w artery through the campus and several side streets are also closed resulting in major volumes of traffic being rerouted to the 2 other single-lane e-w arteries.

Brock St is very rough driving from bottom of Ontario Street to almost Alfred St. This street gets a lot of traffic, main bus route too. It is full of pot holes and is unpleasant to drive. Currently upper portion by Clergy to Division is under construction for infrastructure work, I hope the lower portion of street will also be repaired, doubt it though... Kingston has many streets in need of repair, Brock is one of them...

Worse road in the city, Sad thing is last year they repaired a portion after this survey then 2 weeks later tore it up for repairs again.

Construction is still being performed on this road, and has been all summer long. It's still far from being adequate.

This portion of Gardiner Street is worse than most cottage road. And we pay some of the highest taxes anywhere in the city. It is full of pot holes and almost a hazard to drive.

Most of the downtown core is barely drivable, along with the major through ways like Brock St. Johnson St. and many of the side streets. I have been in Kingston my whole life and never has there been an effort by the city to fix the problem on a large scale, simple patch work only. Much of the downtown core has heaved and cracked, and sunk so badly that some sections are like driving on an off road course.

Multiple Pot-holes in all locations, uneven roads (first one side is too low be half a foot, then the other side is too low by a half a foot), huge drops around sewer catches so they act like potholes.

This short road has been nothing but potholes for the last 4 years. Patches just don't hold

Full of potholes that have been patched numerous times. Also several sections are sunken where the gas lines have been laid. This section of the street has not been re-paved since 1971. Every other street in the neighbourhood has been redone.

Nothing but potholes, it looks like a mine field. I have seen better roads in Afghanistan.

Feels like my bike (bicycle, not motorcycle) is going to be destroyed riding on Brock St. Driving in a car isn't much better.

I wouldn't really call Brock St a road. It is more a large pot hole with a few small areas of smooth driving. I stress a FEW!!!

It just gets worse and worse each year with huge potholes and uneven pavement.

I work in transportation engineering, and I'm appauled at who thought it would be a good idea to put in a giant patch right in a wheel path! It's like a video game, trying to dodge the patches and the cracks they created, without losing a hubcap! This road needs some resurfacing... BADLY!

i ve actually seen some vehicles ' bottom-out' on this stretch of road. Very poor construction and maintenance of this major artery.I'm constantly driving zig-zag on this road.....forget about staying in the dotted lines !!!

Has been down to 1 lane for years, in the winter the road becomes impassible and the driveways that exit on to it become useless, trapping cars in people's parking lots. The contractors who have blocked the road are aware of the problem, but have told me they do not care to fix it.

Continuous potholes and age. Riding a bicycle, motorbike or even a car causes a beating to the vehicles. As THE main street in Kingston, it is a sight for sore eyes.

Never ending construction that never seems to fix anything. Huge pot holes, uneven surfaces. The bane of my existence (and my cars) for 7 long years of university.
