THEY HAVE PATCHED THIS ROAD IN THE WINTER FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS, BUT POTHOLES CONTINUE TO GET WORSE AFTER THE WINTER MONTHS

Pretty bumpy and rough in a few sections. Only 2 lanes wide from Platts Lane towards Oxford. Rail bridges are way too small. Bottlenecks in a few areas. Around Sarnia Road, the street is extremely bad to drive, bike, or walk on. Desperately needs to be rebuilt.

The road is terrible with patches on patches, uneveness and washboard. I swear I'm going to loose parts off my vehical soon on that stretch.

Gigantic potholes that become swimming pools in the summer when it rains and skating rinks in the winter when it freezes. This has been patched many times and now these patches have fallen out. It is a small east end street that the city ignores. It has never been properly paved and is still tar and gravel. Older residents promised at annexation 50 years ago that it would be properly paved and they have yet to see this.

Many potholes, poorly patched potholes and severly broken pavement. The road also has major congestion problems as it goes from a 4-lan roadway down to 2-lane. Not to mention that it runs directly through the UWO campus and there are no curbs along the sidewalks to prevent cars from going off road. Bike lanes and/or bus lanes would help greatly and given the large number of people cycling to campus it would be much safer for them. This road needs major repairs and restructuring.

Pavement is severely deteriorated along wide stretches of road. Worst part is near the intersection of Sarnia Road and Western Road. Few more bad places include the intersection of Riverside and Wharncliffe and Wharncliffe from Commissioners to Horton. Widening is needed from Oxford over to Platt's Lane to alleviate chronic traffic backups.

The whole road was much worse previously but the area around Lambton Drive is still a bumpy, rutty mess!

The storm drain does nothing to prevent it from becoming a canal in heavy rain. several small sink holes. Patched holes now bumps. Pot holes that should be called cauldron holes they are so large and deep.

Road is busy all the time. Not designed to reflect traffic capacity. Old rail bridge near Horton Street should be rebuilt to accommodate 4 through lanes of traffic. Between Oxford and Platts Lane, it is only 2 lanes and no curbs and sidewalks. North of Sarnia Road, it is littered with potholes and cracking asphalt.

Too small and falling apart in so many places. Riverside Drive and Sarnia Road come to mind as being in terrible condition. Needs to be expanded to at least 4 lanes north of the Canadian Pacific train bridge.

Two words describe this whole stretch of road: POT HOLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cannot handle volume of today's traffic or tomorrow's traffic. As area is being developed 4 lanes with a centre turning lane are needed.

West part of London needs a north/south street that is 4 lanes to keep keep traffic moving. Especially from Oxford to Fanshawe - why wasn't it widened to 4 lanes when the road was redone a few years ago. Now with the retail stores at Fanshawe this road is always congested.

With UWO & new subdivisions nearby it's a high traffic area. Needs to be 4 lanes. Bottleneck at old one-lane bridge. Why does London keep building roads that go from 4 lanes to 2 lanes to 4 lanes again? No wonder there are accidents.

Very congested in many locations; narrow areas near train bridges. No Left turning lanes at many intersections leads to clogged traffic. North of Oxford towards UWO is far too small for the traffic it has. Area around the Brescia College entrance is full of potholes and deteriorating pavement.

Supersized potholes and deteriorating ashphault patches make travelling down difficult and dangerous!

An uneven, broken-up roadway filled with potholes that go back for decades. Last year the city repaired the section north of the alumni hall - brescia cross street. Nevertheless the 300 - 500 m portion southbound to sarnia road continues to wreak havoc on automobiles and their passengers. When I first drove the roadway in the late 60's it was terrible....it has never improved.

Where Centre St. meets Wharcliffe rd. S. is in major disrepair. It is almost crumbling under the vehicle as you drive. The shoddy patch jobs and earthquake-like cracks make me cringe every time I travel that way. I usually avoid it altogether by back tracking up to Cotswald gate to take Baseline Rd. to Wharncliffe. Also, when there are heavy rains the city seems to aquire a new public swimming pool at the base of the small hill leading towards Wharncliffe. I understand that there isn't any housing on that short stretch of road, and the rest of the road is great where it is populated. But the road is used quite often by the people living in this area, and it's sorry state is playing on the nerves of drivers and passengers alike. This neighbouhood would really appreciate an effort to fix this old forgotten road.

Not large enough for the traffic it handles. Definitely needs repairs in areas. Train bridges are too small.

the road for whatever reason is made of concrete and is the bumpiest road of all time. my kids enjoy saying ahhh down the entire stretch just to hear their voices vibrate.

the street is very uneven, mostly along the shoulder and you have to watch for the manholes.

The road that I still find a pain to drive on is Commissioners East, traveling from Wellington Road to Pond Mills. The problems are the pot holes, the patches on old pot hole fills are now breaking or lifting, and too many breaks/cracks in the road. The worst part of Commissioners is the tracks right at Commissioners and Adelaide. They are brutal! The whole section of track is in desperate need of fixing. It is nice to see all the major construction going on throughout the city. As frustrating as it is to be a driver out there, it is nice to know that our streets are being repaired. I hope soon that the patch between Commissioners and Pond Mills will be done too. Thank you

It's full of potholes and though they are fixing them this summer, the construction is at many points along the road and blocks traffic all summer long.

Big ugly potholes

The manholes are deeply set into the road, the right side of the road by the curb has been patched over and over and over (not well, very bumpy). Going west past Timmys there is a whole in the road that makes me drive close to the center lane.

Worst rush-hour traffic in London (at least in west London). Traffic is VERY slow-moving at peak times and motorists are prone to accidents. Also, the road is showing increasing signs of deterioration, largely due to the high volume of traffic.

Curb lanes from Sarnia north to where the new road has been completed is a mess particularly in the southbound curb lane just north of Sarnia road.

Very poor road surface, very poor drainage. Pot holes are deep and wide. Parts of the road are nothing but temporary patch applications. Road is in very bad shape in the winter. This is a short connecting road with a lot of traffic, trucks, fire engines, etc. Roads that are in better shape in London are getting resurfaced - why not this road?

Trying to cobble a road together out of former paved shoulders. How about Sarnia Road between Wonderland and Hyde Park Road same thing.

Many sections with uneven road, especially near the train tracks at Adelaide. Poor traffic light timing. Too small west of Viscount Road. Busy all the time.

Massive bottleneck. Southdale Road abruptly changes from a five lane artery east of Warncliffe Road to a two lane rural road before returning to five lanes at Wonderland Road. Road surface is mediocre at best. This segment of Southdale is also very unfriendly to pedestrians (sidewalk on one side of the road for only a portion of this segment), cyclists (lack of bike lanes and heavy traffic on roadway) and bus users (bus stops are in the middle of nowhere and are virtually inaccessible for the elderly and handicapped. This section of Southdale should be reconstructed as a four or five lane road with a central median and sidewalks and bike lanes at both sides with proper bus stops. Due to the urban expansion and traffic in this area, a light rail line/HOV bus lane could also be constructed, possibly in a central median. If this is not constructed with the road widening, the corridor should be protected for future consideration. Simply widening the road will not fix the problem here, mass transit needs to be promoted and expanded in order to reduce traffic congestion, especially in the long term.

congestion -many days at rush hour, particularly bad on weekends, cars are backed up from gainsborough to oxford. There is no bus lane either. In Hind sight, we should have went to four lanes prior to the new commercial development at hyde and fanshawe.

There is no original road left, it is a patchwork of asphalt, holes everywhere, a cobblestone road would be smoother. If you check it out on Google Maps Satellite view you can actually see the holes in the road... In other words...You can see the potholes from space!!! Not to mention, the blind intersection at the crest of a hill, along with a rail crossing it diagonally.

Sarnia Rd is an important connection Wonderland and Hyde Park Roads and also allows access to a new subdivision (Deer Ridge) and a currently-being-buit seniors home. Yet, Sarnia Rd is in severe disrepair (potholes, dips, cracks, uneven pavement, no shoulder, no street lights). Furthermore, all of the traffic must drive over an uncontrolled, single-lane truss bridge with a wooden deck. Although the bridge is beautiful and historically significant, the condition and size of the road cannot handle today's and tomorrow's traffic capacity. I have been to third-world countries with roads that are in both better condition and travelled by fewer vehicles. As a Canadian, it makes me sad to have to compare our roads to those of third-world countries.

If I were to drive down this road heading to Clarke, and actually zig and zaged to avoid all the pot holes someone watching would think you were driving impaired. The bad 'attempted' repairs of all the pot holes make it a jaw shaking drive.

This road has had so many water main repairs that they have to patch the patch that patched the original repair. In order to find a smooth section to drive on, you basically have to drive down the middle of the road. It is teeth jarring drive on this road!!!

Head East on Wavell towards Clarke and you will be subjected to a ride that will let you know what our ancestors had to put up with riding a buckboard on a rut infested path back in the 1800's not a city of 350K in the year 2009!!!!!!!!! This road is a mechanics dream!!!!!!!
