There are several potholes and very little room for bikes to ride. My wife drives a scooter and has been hit 3 times while riding along the section of Glendale (Wembley to train tracks) as well as my daughter has wiped out due to potholes along this section. Since bikes can not be ridin on the side walk they take their chance on the road. I have also wrecked the tie rods and other parts on 2 cars driving on the road in this city. I realize they are trying to improve the roads but seems like they are tearing up a bunch of roads at the same time and making this city horrible for driving. I am a driver for auto parts store and spend 9hrs a day on these roads which are hell. |

This stretch of Niagara Street has been deadly for many years. It is full of ruts, potholes, poorly repaired patches of blacktop between cemented areas... argh! What a nightmare! I drive several km out of my way to avoid that area of town. It is a disgrace for the city to have a main road in such disrepair for so long. The city slogan should be the "bad road city" not the "garden city"! |

Aug 18, 2009 |
| Pelham Road between Decew and Fifth St |
In winter, potholes are so numerous that drivers have to drive weaving around the road and lose their focus on oncoming traffic. The makeshift filling put into these holes does little to help the problem and other potholes appear very quickly. In the other seasons the road has become extremely bumpy with all the patched up potholes and takes its toll on cars travelling at moderate speeds. Has become disastrous for pleasure cycling. This has been going on for several years and has become even more treachorous with the increased traffic of recent years. |

Aug 16, 2009 |
| Niagara St between Facer St and Scott St |
Potholes from Facer St. to Carlton St., also at the corner of Niagara and Facer there needs to be a left turning lane sign, because too often cars in the turning lane drive straight through, thinking there are two lanes there. I have watched it happen at least twice a week, and almost got hit myself because the only indication that this is a turning lane, is the paint on the road. And the section in front of Laura Secord High School is too narrow, does not allow room for both a car and a bike (dangerous for cyclists). There should also be a turning lane for the school, because traffic gets backed up when someone is trying to turn into the school lot. |
Aug 15, 2009 |
| Fourth Ave. between Vansickle Rd. and First St. Louth |
Both east and west directions have severe rutting on the shoulder side of the lane. The pavement is badly craked and shoulders are almost non-existant. If there is no oncoming traffic, I will actually straddle the dividing yellow line to avoid having the right side of my car disappear into these ruts. I hope this section of road becomes a good candidate for repair with the new hospital being built on the intersection of First St. Louth. |

| Glendale Ave between Merritt and Canal Road |
Over the years they have kept patching potholes that are right in the wheel-path. Especially just over the train tracks when heading east from Merritt St. There's almost no way to avoid them. I pull way over almost onto the shoulder to try and dodge them. This road gets very heavy truck usage and since it's sort of an industrial area, i guess the city just feels it's not a priority. I think they fail to realize that if people come off the QEW to come to our city (perhaps going to the pen centre) they may have a very poor opinion of our roads and they would be correct! This city only installs or fixes roads where there is NEW business, they ignore the maintenance of the rest of the city. It's disgusting. |
