The road itself is fine, unlike other worst roads, it is pretty sufficient, but it has one major flaw: its history. Over the past 3 years it has had entire sections of it wash away and sinkholes open up that can swallow homes. That a pretty bad record and has therefore been shutdown for months at a time. Given the possibility of driving down a road and falling into a 40 foot sinkhole, I'd say it's the worst road in Ontario.

There are holes on top of holes on this road. The street has been patched year after year for the past ten years and the same problem persists. A crew comes in, patches the holes up and a month later the holes re-appear. The holes need to be properly filled in, and the street needs to be completely repaved. Road is and has been dusty because of hydrants relocated. Old hydrants are showing difficulty removing them. lots of men machinery and lots of time/months still hydrant not removed. Will dig holes in residents driveway while your car is parked there with no promises to fix them and no prior notification. . Places there are no usuable sidewalks and many children, youth usee this street. Parking difficult. Dangerous for children to learn to ride a bike either on the sidewalk or road. .Added buses and people who are not cognizant of the need to reduce your speed and watch all around you.

At Eastern Ave and Leslie St the road changes from 2 lanes to 1 lane traveling west. Because the road is not signed properly traffic new to the area will choose to be in the left turning lane to continue on Eastern; effectively cutting off through traffic in the right lane. Every day one can hear horns blowing as near misses have become the norm. It is only a matter of time before a serious collision takes a life at this corner. It is also one of the most dangerous corners in the city for pedestrians and cyclists because of the bend in the road that obscures the vision of motorists. Newly added bike lanes have only added to the danger.

The road condition is acceptable. Highway 407 gets failing grades when it comes to winter maintenance and affordability. The highway also gets failing grades for inconsistent and poor customer service. The highway has not relieved traffic stresses on the major highways in the GTA as was promised. The west-bound side has a TTC-only lane going into Finch subway station. Which is fine, except that MANY drivers mistaken it for a regular lane and/or a turning lane. In the westbound right lane, there are so many potholes and breaks in the road that most people move over into the left lane. Not to say that the eastbound lanes are good - they're not. Extremely uneven and bumpy road. Parking is allowed in the curb lane at all hours (even rush hour) which increases congestion and promotes dangerous weaving to and from curb lane to open lane.

This is a general statement about the overall condition of the roads. I would say 90% of all roads are in fair to poor & even dangerous condition. They are causing huge damages,premature wear & tear to many vehicles. What really gets me upset is the poor quality of repairs,especially repairing potholes. If you're going to patch a pothole,do it properly!! I can't remember the last time I saw a patch job flush with the road surface; it's usually a lump of asphalt thrown down & wacked a few times with a shovel.

such none sense!! Priding itself on tourism with the CNE, and yet the road leading to the CNE is the worst in the city. It truly is an eyesore. This section of Dufferin is littered with crumbling roads. The bridge crossing over the Gardiner and the train tracks is JUST wide enough for two cars to pass. nothing less than a full resurface is much needed.
