Making a Home or Auto Insurance Claim

Here's what you do and what we'll do for you.

Call us right away at 1-800-387-2656 to report your claim any time of the day or night, on any day of the week. We are always available to take care of you.

  • If you are calling between 8am and 5pm: A knowledgeable and friendly claims staff member will help you by answering your questions and guiding you through the claims process. You'll be asked initial questions about you and your claim and we will resolve your claim immediately.
  • If you are calling between 5pm to 8am or on the weekend: the representative who takes your call will give you some immediate guidance, take some immediate action, and then your claim will be reassigned the next business day to an adjuster assigned specifically to your claim.

We'll help you arrange vehicle repair service and towing if you need it. We’ll schedule a vehicle inspection so we can estimate the cost of repair. We'll keep you informed about your claim by periodically checking the status of repairs and addressing any further issues. We’ll settle your claim quickly, fairly and accurately and strive to minimize the disruption in your life.

Property Insurance

Call us right away at 1-800-387-2656 to report your property claim any time of the day or night on any day of the week. We are always available to answer your call.

We’ll answer your questions, work to confirm coverage, and immediately move to retain the necessary resources to respond to any emergency needs. We'll inspect the damage to your property and estimate the cost of repair, replacement, or actual cash value. We’ll settle your claim quickly, fairly and accurately and strive to minimize the disruption in your life.

Travel Insurance

At first onset of symptoms of a medical emergency and before you seek medical attention, you must contact the 24-hour CAA Medical Assistance Centre; however, if you are unable to do so because you are medically incapacitated, you or someone else must contact CAA Medical Assistance as soon as is reasonably possible.

Health and Dental Insurance

Call Manulife Financial’s toll-free customer service inquiry line at 1-800-COVER ME® (1-800-268-3763) available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (ET) Monday to Friday (excluding holidays).

With your Benefits Card you won't need to submit a claim for drug expenses in most cases. Simply present your drug card to the pharmacist when filling a prescription and the pharmacist will submit your claim electronically to Manulife Financial on your behalf.

Dentists are encouraged to submit claims directly to Manulife Financial for reimbursement.

Claims must be submitted to Manulife Financial within twelve (12) months from the date the charges are incurred.

Life Insurance

Identity Theft Insurance

If you don't have CAA Property Insurance, please call 1-800-992-8143 to make an Identity Theft claim.

Pet Insurance

Call 1-866-757-2922 or download and print a claim form.

  • Fill in your (and your pet's) personal information in Part 1 of the claim form. Be sure to sign your name in the space provided.
  • Have your veterinarian fill in part 2 of the claim form. Make sure your veterinarian includes his/her practice stamp & signature.
  • Attach your receipts to your completed claim form & mail them to:

  • Your claim will be processed in about 5 days of receiving all of your completed paperwork.
