Auto Insurance Claims Process

• Call us right away at 1-800-387-2656 to report your claim any time of the day or night on any day of the week. We are always available to answer your call.
• If you are calling between 8am and 5pm the person who answers your phone call will be a knowledgeable and friendly claims staff member who will be able to help you by answering your questions and guiding you through the claims process. We'll ask some initial questions about you and your claim and begin actively working to resolve your claim immediately. If you are calling between 5pm and 8am or on the weekend, the representative who takes your call will give you some immediate guidance, take some immediate action and then your claim will be reassigned the next business day to an adjuster assigned specifically to your claim.
• Usually on the first call, the adjuster will answer your questions and schedule an inspection of your vehicle. Be sure to discuss any questions you have about deductibles, coverages or the repairs with your claims rep at this time.
• We'll inspect your vehicle's damage and estimate the cost of repair. We use both staff and independent appraisers and ensure that superior technical expertise is applied in the appraisal of your vehicle.
• We'll help you arrange vehicle repair service and towing if you need it. You can use a CAA Recommended Body Shops and take advantage of our guarantee on the repair and be assured of superior customer service. Depending on where you live we can schedule the appointment for you when you report the claim. While we will explain the advantages and value of our recommendations, we ultimately encourage you to choose a shop that you trust and know that the ultimate choice belongs to you. Your peace of mind and satisfaction with the selection is our primary concern.
• If you need a rental car and your policy covers one, your claims representative can make arrangements for a rental. Enterprise and Discount are the preferred rental partners of CAA Insurance. Keep in mind that rental reimbursement varies based on policy coverages and accident circumstances. At all times, rental coverage is only provided for the time that the insured vehicle is out of service by reason of damage or repair and is not provided for periods of undue delay.
• We'll keep you informed about your claim by periodically checking the status of repairs and addressing any further issues, such as additional damage, supplemental payments or changes to the expected completion date, while your vehicle is in the shop.
• We settle your claim quickly, fairly and accurately and strive to minimize the disruption in your life.
• We are available to answer any questions you may have. Although you have a specific adjuster assigned to assist you through the claims process they are not the only one who can help you. All of our capable staff of adjusters are able to answer your claims questions.
• By moving through the claims process fairly, accurately and efficiently, we strive to minimize repair time and rental time and storage and towing time. By controlling and minimizing this time and expense we help to make insurance affordable.
