Making an insurance claim

Here's what you do and what we'll do for you.

Call us right away at 1-800-387-2656 to report your claim any time of the day or night, on any day of the week. We are always available to take care of you.

  • If you are calling between 8am and 5pm: A knowledgeable and friendly claims staff member will help you by answering your questions and guiding you through the claims process. You'll be asked initial questions about you and your claim and we will resolve your claim immediately.
  • If you are calling between 5pm to 8am or on the weekend: the representative who takes your call will give you some immediate guidance, take some immediate action, and then your claim will reassigned the next business day to an adjuster assigned specifically to your claim.

CAA's claims process for Auto Insurance

  • Usually on the first call, the adjuster will answer your questions and schedule a vehicle inspection for your vehicle.
  • We'll inspect your vehicle's damage and estimate the cost of repair.
  • We'll help you arrange vehicle repair service and towing if you need it. You can use a CAA Recommended Body Shop and take advantage of our guarantee on the repair, or choose a shop that you trust.
  • If you need a rental car, and your policy covers one, your claims representative can make arrangements for a rental. Enterprise can make arrangements for a rental. Enterprise and Discount are preferred rental partners of CAA Insurance.
  • We'll keep you informed about your claim by periodically checking the status of repairs and addressing any further issues.
  • We settle your claim quickly, fairly, and accurately, with minimal disruption to your life.
  • We are available to answer any questions you may have.
  • By moving through the claims process fairly, accurately, and efficiently, we help to make insurance affordable.
