Q: Why is CAA partnering with ComparAction?
A:

CAA is always on the lookout for real savings that can be passed on to CAA Members. After closely examining the long distance market, CAA in conjunction with ComparAction found a way to offer Members exclusive savings on long distance calls.

A:

Q: CAA ComparAction will compare all of my long distance calls against which three plans?
A:

Your calls will be compared to three competitive plans from Bell, Primus and Rogers - featuring the lowest domestic, U.S. and overseas rates we've ever compared. We'll then select the one plan that would have saved you the most. That way you always end up paying the least of the three for your calls! Click here for details.

Plus, as a CAA member you have the option of replacing one of the three featured plans with your existing plan if it is a branded, publicly available plan with Bell, Rogers or Primus!*

Q: Will I ever pay a network or plan fee?
A:

With CAA ComparAction, you only pay the network fee in any given month if you have made long distance calls that month. While there is no CAA ComparAction plan fee, some of the plans CAA ComparAction compares may or may not have a monthly plan fee and are part of the calculation of your long distance savings.
 

Q: Are there any other fees associated with CAA ComparAction?
A:

None. There's NO contract to sign, NO activation fee and there are NO cancellation fees. You may end your service at any time.
 

Q: How can CAA ComparAction offer such great rates?
A:

We can offer such great rates because we've negotiated attractive wholesale rates on your behalf.
 

Q: I have CAA Mastercard that earns me CAA Dollars. What will I earn by enrolling in CAA ComparAction?
A:

You can earn CAA dollars faster by paying for your CAA ComparAction long distance on your CAA MasterCard. You'll earn 10% CAA Dollars from CAA ComparAction and AN ADDITIONAL 1% by using your CAA MasterCard!
 

Q: How is my local phone bill affected?
A:

You'll continue to receive a bill from your local service provider for all your local services. But now you'll receive a usage summary from CAA ComparAction for all your long distance and calling card calls.
 

Q: Will my local or long distance service be interrupted?
A:

No, making the switch to CAA ComparAction will not affect your local or long distance service - the process is entirely seamless.
 

Q: Do all long distance calls qualify?
A:

All direct-dial long distance calls qualify for the program. However, any operator-assisted or collect long distance calls do not qualify for the CAA ComparAction program. These will be billed to you by your local service provider when they bill you for your monthly services.
 

Q: Can I get a CAA ComparAction calling card?
A:

Yes. Because your CAA membership card will be your CAA ComparAction calling card, we'll only activate your card and send you your PIN number upon request. Simply call us at 1-866-881-1788 to set the process in motion. Your PIN number will be sent to you within 4 - 6 weeks.
 

Q: Do I need to use my CAA ComparAction calling card to make long distance call from home?
A:

No. If you have enrolled your home line in the program, there are no extra digits to dial. Simply dial one and then the number you wish to call.
 

Q: How long does it take before I can take advantage of the program?
A:

It will take approximately 10 business days before your phone line will be activated within the CAA ComparAction program.
 

Q: When can I expect my first usage summary?
A:

You will receive your first CAA ComparAction usage summary of long distance and calling card calls within four to six weeks. The total charge from your usage summary will appear on your credit card statement once our usage summary is in the mail.
 

Q: How do I pay for my account?
A:

Your lowest cost plan is conveniently charged to the credit card you provide upon enrollment. A Usage Summary and call detail statements are issued on a monthly basis.
 

Q: How will I know that I'm really saving?
A:

The CAA ComparAction Usage Summary clearly demonstrates your savings by calculating what your total long distance usage would have cost under each of the plans being compared. It then clearly identifies the winning plan for that month. The statement will also report the total number of CAA bonus dollars accumulated.

A:

Q: How many phone lines can I enroll?
A:

As many as you like. You will receive one Usage Summary detailing all the calls made on each line and the total for all these lines will be conveniently billed on the credit card you provided when you enrolled.
 

Q: Are there any extra digits to dial?
A:

No. There are no extra digits to dial. You make long distance calls the same way you make them now. Simply dial one and then the number you wish to call.
 

Q: I already have one of the plans you're comparing. Why should I switch?
A: You probably never noticed, but if you're like most people, your calling habits change on an ongoing basis. If you usually make all your calls within the province or during evenings and weekends, you probably chose a plan that is the best fit for that behaviour. But if your calling habits change suddenly, you may end up paying a premium. Switching to CAA ComparAction gives you the flexibility to make calls whenever and wherever you want and the reassurance that you'll benefit from the best rates possible. That's because we do the comparison shopping after you've placed all your calls for the month. Even if CAA ComparAction concludes that your existing plan still saves you most when compared against the other Bell, Rogers or Primus plans featured, you still earn 10% savings in CAA Dollars - Guaranteed.
