  • Day 1: Fly to Tokyo
  • Day 2: Tokyo: Arrive in Tokyo and check-in to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day touring Tokyo at your leisure.
  • Day 3: Tokyo: This morning, visit the Tokyo Tower Observatory. Next, enjoy a Japanese Garden & Tea Ceremony at Happo-en. This is followed by a visit to the Imperial Palace Plaza. Take a Sumida River Cruise; visit Asakusa Kannon Temple and the Ginza district.
  • Day 4: Tokyo/Nikko: Today, take a motor coach to Nikko and the ancient Toshogu Shrine. Then drive through Irohazaka Zigzag Way to the mountains. Next visit Lake Chuzenji, Kegon waterfall, and bustling Shinjuku.
  • Day 5: Tokyo/Mt. Fuji/Hakone: This morning, leave Tokyo by coach for Mt. Fuji, the volcanic mountain that is Japan's national icon. After lunch, proceed to Hakone. En-route, enjoy a delightful Lake Ashi Cruise and visit Mt. Komagatake Aerial Cableway.
  • Day 6: Hakone/Kyoto: After breakfast, head to Odawara train station and take JR bullet train to ancient Kyoto. Join the "Nara Afternoon Tour" and visit Todaiji Temple. See peaceful Deer Park and visit Kasuga Taisha Shrine.
  • Day 7: Kyoto: Today, visit Kyoto's famous Nijo Castle. Next, tour Kinkakuju Temple and Kyoto Imperial Palace. In the afternoon tour Heian Shrine, Sanjusangendo Temple and Kiyomizu Temple.
  • Day 8: Kyoto/Hiroshima: This morning, take a JR bullet train to Hiroshima. Next, take a ferry to Miyajima Island and visit Itsukushima Shrine. Return to Hiroshima and visit Peach Memorial Park Museum and the Atomic Bomb Dome.
  • Day 9: Hiroshima/Kurashiki/Okayama/Kyoto: Take a JR bullet train to Shin-Kurashiki. Visit the Kurashiki Folkcraft Museum, Ohara Museum of Art and stroll around the old town. After lunch, transfer to Okayama by local train to visit Koraku-en Garden. Return to Kyoto by train.
  • Day 10: Kyoto/Himeji/Kokoen/Kyoto: This morning, take a JR bullet train to Himeji and visit beautiful Himeji Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The castle represents Japanese castle architecture at it's highest, with almost the entire castle structure still intact from its original construction in the early 1600's. Later, visit Akashi Kaikyo Ohashi Bridge, the world's longest suspension bridge which boasts main towers around 300 meters high.
  • Day 11: Kyoto/home: Head to the airport for your return flight home.
