Next, visit Vienna, a unique blend of imperial traditions and stunning architecture. In Prague explore the wonderful maze of cobblestone lanes and walled courtyards beneath a 9th century castle. Then travel to the quaint village of Oberammergau nestled in the Bavarian Alps. The highlight of your tour is the Passion Play held under the canopy of the sky with the mountains as a backdrop. It's a poignant spectacle of pageantry and music brought to life by the citizens of Oberammergau.

Visit Domonyvolgy and admire the skill of Hungarian horsemen during a spectacular horse show. Enjoy a traditional Hungarian feast to the sound of gypsy music. At a 14th century castle in Visegrad, experience the chivalry of by-gone days during a performance by costumed knights and then enjoy a special Renaissance style dinner.
  • Vienna - known for its beautiful baroque architecture, parks and gothic spires of by-gone days. City tour features Schoenbrunn Palace. Enjoy an evening tour to the wine-making village of Grinzing. Cruise on the Danube River and visit the 11th century Melk Abbey.
  • Prague - a magical city of bridges, cathedrals and monuments. Tour includes Hradcany Castle and the delightful Golden Lane. View St. Vitus Cathedral and statue lined Charles Bridge.
  • Oberammergau - a picturesque Bavarian village known for wood carvings and the frescoes on homes and buildings. Experience the highlight of your tour as you witness a performance of the Passion Play.

Sept. 17 Your tour begins in Budapest, the beautiful 'Queen of the Danube'. Join your fellow travellers for a welcome dinner. Hotel: Radisson SAS Hotel Beke for 3 nights
Sept. 18 Travel to the picturesque Hungarian countryside and visit a typical horse farm. Learn the unique culture and watch in amazement as you experience a spectacular horse show. After, enjoy a traditional Hungarian lunch in a typical setting with gypsy music.
Sept. 19 An informative city tour features the Mathias Church, Fishermen's Bastion, Old Buda, and Gellert Hill followed by the Parliament. Visit the baroque town of Szentendre before continuing on to Visegrad. At a 14th century castle experience the chivalry of by gone days during a performance by costumed knights. Enjoy a special Renaissance style dinner that re-enacts medieval times, complete with wine and music.
Sept. 20 Depart for Vienna, the former capital of the Austro Hungarian Empire. A city tour features the baroque Schoenbrunn Palace. See St. Stephan's Cathedral, the beautiful architecture, scenic parks and gothic spires touring Vienna's city centre. Enjoy a memorable evening in the picturesque wine making village of Grinzing. Sept. 21 Embark on a Danube River cruise through the historic Wachau Valley. Later, visit the Benedictine Abby in Melk, renown for its collection of manuscripts. A leisurely ride through the Vienna woods concludes the day.
Sept. 22 A scenic ride takes you to Prague, the 'Golden City'. The remainder of the day is at leisure for you to explore, shop, or relax. Hotel: Hotel Diplomat for 2 nights
Sept. 23 The morning starts with a panoramic tour as you drive to Hradcany Castle. Walk the famous Golden Lane with its miniature houses. View St. Vitus Cathedral and Charles Bridge. Dinner tonight is at one of Prague's historic restaurants.
Sept. 24 Travel to the quaint village of Oberammergau, nestled in the Bavarian Alps. This afternoon witness a presentation of the Passion Play, performed completely by locals. During a break in the performance join your fellow travellers for a farewell dinner. Hotel: Oberammergau or Garmisch for 1 night
Sept. 25 After breakfast, tour ends.
