Best known for the world-acclaimed Rocky Mountaineer® train, a two-day, all daylight rail journey through the Canadian Rockies, the company also offers trips onboard the Whistler Mountaineer™ train, a three-hour experience between North Vancouver and Whistler, BC.

  • Day 1 Vancouver: Arrive in Vancouver and spend time exploring this scenic city on your own. Overnight in Vancouver.
  • Day 2 Vancouver to Kamloops: Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Vancouver to Kamloops. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell's Gate in the Fraser Canyon and the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River. Overnight in Kamloops.
  • Day 3 Kamloops to Banff: Your journey continues eastwards to the mighty Canadian Rockies and the province of Alberta. Highlights include Craigellachie, where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, Rogers Pass, the Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels and the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Overnight in Banff.
  • Day 4 Banff: This morning travel to Kananaskis for a 12-minute Summit Helicopter Tour over the remarkable landscape of the Rockies. After your helicopter ride you will explore Banff on a sightseeing tour. Highlights include visits to Bow Falls, the Banff Gondola (admission included), Lake Minnewanka, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. The rest of the day is free. Overnight in Banff.
  • Day 5 Banff to Lake Louise: A half-day tour takes you into Yoho National Park to view some of its natural wonders. Among the highlights are the Spiral Tunnels, Emerald Lake and a natural rock bridge that spans the Kicking Horse River. The tour ends in Lake Louise where you will enjoy a one-hour guided lakeshore stroll. The remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure. Overnight at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
  • Day 6 Lake Louise to Jasper: Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Banff and Jasper National Parks via the Icefields Parkway. Upon arrival at the Columbia Icefield you will take a ride on an Ice Explorer to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier. Time will be available for lunch (not included). Arrive in Jasper late afternoon. Overnight in Jasper.
  • Day 7 Jasper to VIA Rail to Toronto: This evening begin your four-day VIA Rail journey across the Prairie provinces and Ontario. Overnight on VIA Rail.
  • Day 8 VIA Rail to Toronto: Continue your rail journey across Canada to Toronto. Overnight on VIA Rail.
  • Day 9 Onboard VIA Rail: Continue your rail journey across Canada to Toronto. Overnight on VIA Rail.
  • Day 10 Toronto Arrival: Arrive in Toronto on VIA Rail this morning. Overnight in Toronto.
  • Day 11 Niagara Falls Tour: Enjoy a full-day motorcoach tour to Niagara Falls, one of the great natural wonders of the world. Included is a cruise on the Maid of the Mist to the base of Horseshoe Falls. Return to Toronto early this evening to overnight. Overnight in Toronto.
