2014 Membership Rate Update

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

The membership fees for CAA South Central Ontario will increase slightly, effective March 1, 2014. Please refer to the information below for a list of impacted services.

Why are membership rates being increased?

At CAA, our commitment is to provide excellent service and exceptional value to our Members. We have been delivering against this mandate for over 100 years.

As in any business, CAA is susceptible to increased costs of doing business. Resources such as gasoline, service equipment and technology are all essential in our commitment to deliver excellent service to our Members. Cutting corners in service has never been an option. So, as we face raised supplier costs across the many facets of our business, we find ourselves in the unfortunate position of having to increase membership fees.

How much have membership fees been increased?

As of March 1, 2014, membership fees will increase by:

  • $1.00 for Basic memberships
  • $1.00 for Plus memberships
  • $1.00 for Premier memberships

The cost of a Basic CAA membership works out to less than 20 cents a day.

Why wasn’t I notified of the increase?

Your 2014 Renewal Statement reflects the increase in your total membership fee. It is sent to you 45 days prior to your renewal date.

In order to deliver the high level of service and products you’ve come to expect from CAA, we will continue to work hard to secure the best pricing from our suppliers and service network.
