What if you booked a beach getaway at an all-inclusive resort, but then didn’t feel comfortable with travelling, even after you’d already packed your bags and were en route to the airport? Or what if you’re denied entry at customs because you didn’t pass the temperature check, even though you’re fully vaccinated?

Maybe you’re travelling soon or taking advantage of today’s great deals for future travel. With the right insurance coverage, you can protect your investment—and your peace of mind.

Trip Cancellation & Interruption Insurance allows you to cancel your trip before you leave and get reimbursed for prepaid non-refundable trip expenses. Trip interruption insurance provides coverage if you’re already at your destination and need to return home early. But you may want additional travel insurance benefits in today’s uncertain environment.

Here are three additional insurance options to keep in mind when booking your next trip.

Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR)

Having second thoughts about that trip you booked? CFAR is a flexible cancellation benefit that can be used to cancel your trip for any reason up to three hours before departure. You’ll also receive a refund of up to 50 percent—or 75 percent if you booked your trip with CAA Travel. The Cancel For Any Reason benefit is only applicable if you purchased your policy within 72 hours of booking your travel arrangements.

Interruption For Any Reason (IFAR)

If you’ve been at your destination for 48 hours or more but suddenly need to return home, IFAR has you covered. You can cancel your trip due to any unforeseen interruption that isn’t included in your standard trip cancellation and interruption insurance.

Denied Boarding/Entry

This coverage was designed to help with the unplanned expenses of failing mandated tests at screening checkpoints, which is a fact of travel for the foreseeable future. If you’re denied entry at customs or security checkpoints due to health regulations set by government authorities, this coverage can help protect your travel investment.

CFAR, IFAR and Denied Boarding/Entry come bundled with CAA’s Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance Plan, which means you can book that beach getaway or European coach tour knowing that your investment is protected if you cancel for any reason—even if it’s simply because you just aren’t ready to travel yet.
