Why do I love being a Travel Consultant?

It’s an honour to have the opportunity to share my knowledge and insight with people and to spend my days helping others do what I love: travelling! Seeing the outcome of each person’s travel experience and how it has changed them is a wonderful thing.

My top travel picks.

Looking at the world through travel is a privilege and I’ve been very lucky. I love Europe, the Caribbean and South America. One of my favourite places to visit is our very own Canada. Let me tell you about the places I’ve been and you can tell me where you want to go!

Spain.

Europe

Spain is one of my favourite countries. It’s so diverse and there‘s much to see and do. Impressive monuments, churches, great food and culture with stunning beaches, medieval towns and beautiful palaces. The Spanish people are incredibly friendly. Take in a local festival, dine on some tapas and enjoy a live Flamenco show! It doesn’t get better.

Insider tip: Fans of the HBO television series, “Game of Thrones” should be sure to visit the Alcázar of Seville. The 5th season of the show was partly filmed at Moorish Royal Palace, a landmark with fountain-filled gardens, ornate arches and 16th century tiles.

Western Canada.

Canada

Rocky Mountaineer is a must for any bucket list! This rail company operates in Western Canada running routes through British Columbia, Alberta and Washington State. The Gold Leaf service from Vancouver to Banff offers full 360-degree views of the mountains. Enjoy fine dining in the private dining room, then sit back and relax while the view from your seat takes your breath away.

Insider tip: The packages on the Rocky Mountaineer are just suggestions. We can customize any route you want! The scenery from Jasper to the gold rush town of Quesnel is spectacular.

The Rhine River.

France

River cruising is one of my favourite ways to travel. I have cruised the Rhine and Danube, Moselle and Main rivers. Each of these destinations is beyond beautiful. The Rhine flows through six countries including Switzerland, Germany, France and the Netherlands. Take in the castles along the way, visit the canals, cafes and historical sites of Amsterdam and marvel at the Cathedral in Cologne.

Insider tip: Take a shuttle bus from the dock in Kehl, Germany, to the charming French town of Strasbourg to enjoy a food tour of delicious French cuisine.
