Plitvice Lakes National Park.

Croatia

Croatia is incredible. The people in this Eastern European country are warm and friendly, the food is great and the scenery is gorgeous with more than 6,000 km of coastline and eight national parks. Sail around the Adriatic Sea and visit 10 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the old medieval section of Zagreb and the Zagreb Cathedral. The walled city of Dubrovnik is a marvel and a must-see.

Insider tip: If you make it to one national park, make it Plitvice Lakes, a natural wonder to behold that was recently added to the UNESCO Register.

Hawa Mahal.

India

India is colourful, enchanting and steeped in history! There’s too much to do in one trip, and you might just find yourself falling in love and wanting to visit again. The temple architecture is stunning and the food is delicious. Visit the Pink City of Jaipur (named for the colour of its buildings), go on a camel safari and visit an Ayurveda spa. The Taj Mahal is amazing, especially when you get there early and catch the sunrise.

Insider tip: Tour Old Delhi by rickshaw. It’s the only way.

Cape Town.

South Africa

South Africa is a land of breathtaking landscapes, natural wonders and abundant wildlife. Cities like Cape Town and Johannesburg offer your pick of museums, art, culture and historical sites. Adventure seekers will have plenty to keep them busy with surfing, cage diving with great white sharks and the world’s tallest bridge bungee jump. Don’t skip the Apartheid Museum, an important part of South African history. From Cape Town to Kruger, there is something everywhere to marvel at.

Insider tip: Visit Soweto to get a better understanding of the area’s history and go to Wandie’s Place, Soweto’s first restaurant for indigenous cuisine.
