Chena Hot Springs, Alaska.

USA

Alaska is a land of breathtaking landscapes and fascinating history. You can go whale watching, ride the rails on a restored gold rush train and see the northern lights. See the diverse wildlife by visiting a reserve or taking a bear-viewing tour.

Insider tip: The locals are warm and friendly and the museums and sites are unique, like the Aurora Ice Museum and the Sealaska Heritage Institute.

Florence, Tuscany.

Italy

Visiting Italy was my dream come true. I especially loved Florence. It was like travelling back in time to the Renaissance period. From the art and architecture to the food, I couldn’t get enough. My favourite experiences were the Basilica of Santa Croce, which is the burial place of Michelangelo and Galileo Galilei, seeing Michelangelo’s sculpture of David and visiting the olive farms in the countryside. Plan to fall in love with Italy.

Insider tip: Pre-book your museum tickets so you don’t risk spending hours in line, or even missing out. Florence’s museums are popular destinations.

Jamaica.

Caribbean

Jamaica is a dream vacation spot, with long, gorgeous beaches, delicious food and a fun vibe. Jamaica has breathtaking natural landscapes, beautiful waterfalls, unique culture and rich history! I love the array of experiences, from music and street festivals, to taking a rum tour, to hiking, cliff jumping and diving or just chilling out.

Insider tip: If you love reggae music you must see the Bob Marley Museum in Kingston, located in the late star’s former residence.
