Why do I love being a Travel Consultant?
Journeys are what memories are made of. I like to think that I make many good memories for my clients and that when they look back on them, I’m a small part of their happiness.
My top travel picks.
I love seeing many places in one trip! River cruising is an amazing way to do that. Cruising has taken me to so many wonderful locations. I’ve also been to lots of countries around the globe. Check out some of my top picks. Then get in touch and we will plan your dream getaway.
My passion right now is River Cruising. Being on a luxury boat with many of the amenities of a large ship, but without the crowds, is amazing. The inclusion of shore excursions, along with amazing cuisine is a bonus. The scenery and the history are awe inspiring. In Europe, castles and cascading vineyards make for spectacular experiences. I have travelled the Rhine and the Danube down to the Black Sea, the Rhone in France, Po in Italy, the Nile and even a portion of the Mighty Mississippi.
Insider tip: The best time to partake in this adventure is in the spring or fall when the temperatures are not so humid, but there is always the possibility of the river being either too low or too high.
The South Pacific Island of Bora Bora, in French Polynesia, is heaven on earth, with lush greenery surrounded by a lagoon of brilliant clear blue water that you have to see to believe. The island is a popular wedding and luxury resort destination and is known for great snorkelling and diving.
Insider tip: Go on a motu picnic. This is when you are taken by boat to a motu (small island) in the lagoon for a meal of traditional local cuisine. One of the best island experiences.
South Africa is a land of adventure and discovery. I highly recommend visiting this nation for its fascinating history, beautiful landscapes and diverse wildlife. One must-do is going on a safari and seeing the big five – lion, elephant, rhinoceros, leopard and Cape buffalo. Kruger National Park is breathtaking.
Insider tip: Thrill seekers will enjoy the world’s highest commercial bungee bridge in Tsitsikamma - the Bloukrans Bridge, which is 216 metres high.
