Why do I love being a Travel Consultant?

What can I say? Travel is a passion of mine and being a travel agent gives me the opportunity to explore the world - through travel, researching and booking trips for my clients. My work allows me to explore their destinations and advise them on excursions and activities that match their interests. It is a great job!

Tulum, Quintana Roo.

Mexico

I love Mexico. The Yucatan Peninsula region offers some of the best that this country has to offer. It is teeming with beautiful beaches and landscapes, Mayan history and artifacts and bustling beach towns and resorts.

Insider tip: Be sure to visit Tulum while you're there. This is a town known for its well-preserved ruins of an ancient Mayan port city as well as for its beautiful beaches.

Myrtle Beach.

United States

Just a 2 1/2-hour flight from Toronto is the fantastic destination of Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. This fun and friendly town oozes southern charm and boasts over 100 kilometres of sandy shorelines along the Atlantic coast.

Insider tip: Ride the SkyWheel, a 200-foot high wheel equipped with glass-enclosed gondolas that carry you up for spectacular views and photo-opportunities of the boardwalk, town and beaches below.

Turks and Caicos.

Caribbean

Turks and Caicos are home to secluded beaches, spectacular coral reefs and a host of resorts and hotels. This string of sparsely populated narrow islands in the Atlantic between the Bahamas and the Dominican Republic make for the perfect ocean getaway. They are far less crowded than many other island destinations in the region.

Insider tip: Get away from it all at Malcom Beach. While most of the resorts are located around the popular Grace Bay Beach, you can take a 4x4 across the island to secluded Malcolm Beach to have a piece of paradise mostly to yourself.
