Why do I love being a Travel Consultant?

I love planning trips – for myself, my friends and my CAA clients. Sharing travel experiences and seeing how happy and excited people get for their upcoming vacations is one of the greatest rewards of my career.

My top travel picks.

One of my all-time most-memorable trips was right here in Canada. Mexico and France are other places where I love to travel. Here are some photos of my favourite destinations. I'd love to hear what yours are – and help you plan a trip there!

Rocky Mountains.

Canada

Canada is blessed to have the natural wonder of the Rocky Mountains right here in our own country. I highly recommend you take a tour that includes the Banff Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain to see the spectacular views of six mountain ranges.

Insider tip: The Rocky Mountaineer is a fantastic way to experience the mountains. It's a luxury train through the Rockies allowing you to experience the awesome sights in comfort and style.

Normandy.

France

The Normandy region of France is just filled with historic sites and fascinating places to visit. The town of Rouen is the final resting place of Joan of Arc. With its Roman feel, Rouen has one of the best examples of Gothic architecture in France, the Rouen Cathedral. This also happens to be where Richard the Lionheart was laid to rest.

Insider tip: While the best way to explore the region of Normandy is by renting a car and driving yourself, the town of Rouen is best experienced on foot. The cobbled streets of the historic town are perfect for strolling and meandering about.

Mayan Riviera.

Mexico

Mexico is a favourite beach destination of mine, especially the Mayan Riviera. My own family has vacationed there three years in a row. This region on the Caribbean Sea is just perfect for swimming, snorkeling and soaking up the sun.

Insider tip: Spend some time on Fifth Avenue (Calle Quinta) in Playa Del Carmen. This lively strip is just a block up from the beach and is filled with colourful shops, great dining options and live music every evening.
