Why do I love being a Travel Consultant?

There is so much to learn while travelling abroad. I enjoy visiting countries rich in culture, history, architecture and art. Europe, Central America and Asia immediately spring to mind for their palaces, churches, shrines, galleries and of course, their natural beauty. Culture is what makes each country unique, so to get to experience it first-hand is something I really love about the job.

With over 30+ years in the industry, I’d have to say that the Caribbean is still one of my favorite destinations. Crystal, turquoise waters, white, sandy beaches and beautiful sunsets are what the doctor ordered for many winter-weary and sun-starved Canadians, including myself.

My top travel picks.

Below are pictures of just a few of the islands I’ve visited. If they make you feel like you need to escape for an island getaway, give me a call - I can help make it happen.

1 / 3

St. Lucia.

Caribbean

It really is one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean. That’s why advanced climbers come from around the world to hike to the summit of Gros Piton. What better way to see it all!

Insider tip: If climbing Gros Piton is a little too ambitious for you, St. Lucia’s vast rainforest is home to an array of exotic flora and fauna that can’t be missed.

Grace Bay Beach.

Turks and Caicos

Truly paradise! Grace Bay Beach is one of the most well-known beaches in the world. If powder-white sand and crystal-clear turquoise water is your idea of heaven, this is where you’ll find it - right here on earth.

Insider tip: Be sure to visit Chalk Sound for snorkeling, amazing views of the water and sunsets like you’ve only seen in the movies.

El Limon Falls.

Dominican Republic

Here’s a day trip that is definitely worth it. Saddle up and take a horseback ride through the lush Dominican forest until you reach the 165 ft. high El Limon Waterfalls. Trek to the very top, take photos from the El Limon Station platform or relax in the cool rushing waters below.

Insider tip: This full day adventure can be a challenge for the less physically fit. It’s also slippery and muddy so be sure to wear good hiking footwear.
