View the exciting itinerary we have put together for this tour.
Day 1

Rome

Throw coins in the Trevi Fountain, explore the Colosseum, or wander the Vatican Museum and St. Peter’s Basilica – Rome has something for everyone. Visit the Jewish Ghetto across the Tiber River and learn about its rich history. Rome is a fast-paced city that is surprisingly easy to navigate.

Day 2

Gargano Peninsula

A scenic 3.5-hour drive will take you from the urban hustle and bustle of Rome to a slower-paced beach town, where la dolce vita easily comes to mind. Here it’s time to change gears, relax and enjoy the warm sea breeze.

Day 3

Vieste and the Adriatic Coast

Be sure to visit Vieste’s castle and cathedral, and then take a dip in the Adriatic Sea at one of the town’s many popular beaches. Book a boat cruise to enjoy the scenery from the sea.

Day 4

Alberobello and Matera

Savour the popular wines, cheeses and cured meats of the Puglia and Basilicata regions. For a truly unique experience, book a stay in a traditional stone trullohouse.

Day 5

Paestum and Positano

In Paestum you’ll find some of the best-preserved Greek temple ruins outside of Greece. While in the coastal town of Positano, you’ll discover numerous high-end boutiques and restaurants. And have your walking shoes ready to climb the winding steps that lead from the town to the cliffs above.

Day 6

The Amalfi Coast

The Amalfi coastline is one of the most scenic areas in the country. Plan on making plenty of stops en route to stroll through the many markets or to find that perfect background for your photos. Due to the winding roads, you may experience some traffic, so expect your drive to take slightly longer than estimated.

Day 7

Pompeii and Sorrento

You can take a ferry from Sorrento to the island of Capri, where you will be mesmerized by the Blue Grotto. When you’re back on dry ground, Pompeii is a must-see; explore the well-preserved ruins and imagine what life was like thousands of years ago.

Day 8 - 10

Naples and Rome

Naples is the birthplace of pizza, so grab a slice in the large public square of Piazza Dante before exploring the city’s underground art scene. Visit the National Museum of Archaeology or the Sansevero Chapel Museum, where you’ll find amazingly lifelike sculptures. At night, wander around the Spaccanapoli district, a pedestrian-only area of narrow, winding streets. If you’re looking for a more relaxed way to enjoy your evening, visit the beach to watch the sunset, have a drink from one of the many bars and listen to music. While in Naples, be sure to enjoy more than the pizza; you’ll find aromatic coffee and delicious pastries, too. The Scaturchio bakery, found in the middle of town, has been a family-operated business for over 100 years. See the bakery’s Vesuvio cake on display that comes in the shape of the famed volcano. After that, make your way back to Rome, where you started your journey.
