Bike Squad FAQ

Q:
What type of calls will the Bike Squad service?
A:

The Bike Squad will provide the following services for vehicles at participating local events: lockouts, boosts (battery tests) and tire repairs using the Slime product if requested by a customer\Member (they will not change any tires).

How long will the Bike Squad be operating?
A:

From May 31st - September 30th, 2010

Q:
Will the Bike Squad be used across our entire territory?
A:

No, primarily in the GTA.

Q:
Will the Bike Squad be riding around the GTA looking for stranded motorists?
A:

No, they will be attending various events; while at these events, they will service stranded motorists.

Q:
Will the Bike Squad be recognized as CAA?
A:

Yes, there will be decals on the bicycles as well as on the riders' uniforms.

Q:
Will the Bike Squad carry first aid kits?
A:

No, the riders will not have first aids kits or provide first aid.

Q:
Will the Bike Squad carry spare parts for bicycles?
A:

No, they will try to provide light mechanical support but they will not have any spare parts on board.

Q:
What services does the Bike Squad provide should they receive a call from a Member who is at an event with bicycle problems?
A:

The Bike Squad can supply air or even Slime tire sealant and can provide minor bicycle adjustments. If the bicycle can not be repaired on site we will tow the Member and their bicycle as per their membership coverage. Basic Members receive 4 tows up to 10km per call; Plus Members receive 4 tows up to 200km per call and Premier Members receive 4 tows up to 200km per call and 1 tow up to 320km.
