If you are a holder of a CAA Annual Plan, convenient Top-Up coverage can be added to extend your trip for durations up to 212 days for residents of Ontario or Newfoundland and up to 183 days for residents of all other provinces or territories. If you are topping up another insurer's plan choose the Top-up to non-CAA Annual Plan.

If you are a holder of an Annual Plan, other than a CAA Annual Plan, convenient Top-Up coverage can be added to extend your trip for durations of up to 212 days for residents of Ontario or Newfoundland and up to 183 days for residents of all other provinces or territories. If you are topping up another insurer's plan, you must confirm with that insurer that a Top-up is permitted on your existing plan with no loss of coverage.

Visitors to Canada Medical Emergency Insurance
If you are expecting friends or family to visit from another country, they will not be covered under any provincial or territorial Government Health Insurance Plan. CAA's Vacation Package Plan provides insurance coverage to protect you while travelling and is conveniently packaged together, including: emergency medical, trip cancellation and interruption, travel accident, baggage and personal effects, infant protection and holiday protection. This insurance can only be purchased in Canada within 48 hours of initial deposit and/or prior to any cancellation penalties and for the full duration of the trip.
