If you are expecting friends or family to visit from another country, they will not be covered under any provincial or territorial Government Health Insurance Plan. You can help protect your visitors against financial hardship resulting from a medical emergency with Visitors to Canada Medical Emergency Insurance.

Available in limits of $25,000, $50,000, $100,000 or $150,000, CAA's Visitors to Canada Medical Emergency Insurance provides payment for reasonable and customary costs incurred for treatment of emergent and unforeseen sickness or injury while in Canada. A temporary visit to another country is covered (excluding your country of origin) as part of your trip, however this temporary visit may not exceed 49% of the trip's total duration.

This Plan must be purchased within 48 hours of initial deposit of your pre-paid travel and is available only to Canadian residents.

CAA's Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance is designed to protect your prepaid travel arrangements from an unexpected emergency that may cause you to cancel, delay or interrupt your trip.

This Insurance may be purchased as part of Vacation Package Plan, Annual Vacation Package Plan, Non Medical Vacation Package Plan, or separately within 48 hours of initial deposit of your pre-paid travel arrangements or prior to any cancellation penalties being in effect.

This coverage may also be purchased by non-Canadian residents.

Baggage and Personal Effects Insurance provides coverage for loss or damage to your baggage and personal effects used during your trip.

This insurance can only be purchased prior to departure, in conjunction with Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance or Emergency Medical Insurance and for the total duration of the Trip.

Bounceback Insurance provides coverage if you must return home from your vacation destination before your scheduled return date for the following reasons:

• a member of your immediate family, who is not travelling with you, is admitted to a hospital due to an emergency or dies after you leave home
• a natural disaster causes your principal residence to become uninhabitable, after you leave home

The plan will pay for your round-trip transportation expenses to return home from your vacation destination.

The Insurance must be purchased in conjunction with another CAA Emergency Travel & Medical Insurance plan. Not sold in conjunction with Visitors to Canada Medical Emergency Insurance. Family coverage is not available. This insurance can only be purchased prior to departure to your vacation destination.
