Visitors to Canada*

Visitors to Canada Medical Emergency Insurance* provides coverage for those visiting Canada from another country, holders of a Canadian work or student visa, Canadians not covered by a government health insurance plan or immigrants to Canada.

The plan provides payment for reasonable and customary costs incurred for treatment of an unexpected sickness or injury while in Canada and is available in limits of $25,000, $50,000, $100,000 or $150,000.

Benefits Include:

  • Medical emergency treatment
  • Hospital Accommodation
  • Physician Fees
  • Laboratory Tests and X-rays
  • Private Duty Nursing
  • Local ground ambulance services
  • Prescription medications
  • Casts, splints, trusses, braces, crutches
  • Rental of wheelchair or other minor medical appliances
  • Treatment by a chiropodist, chiropractor, osteopath, physiotherapist or podiatrist, to $250 per profession
  • Emergency dental expenses
  • Family transportation and subsistence allowance
  • Medical repatriation to country of origin
  • In the event of death, costs incurred for burial at place of death or return home
