Solo Explorations – Christmas Along the Rhine

CAA Travel - Christmas along the Rhine

CAA Solo Travel programs are designed for individual Members who enjoy group vacations with like-minded travellers – travel solo, not alone! All programs include a CAA Host and the best part – NO SINGLE SUPPLEMENT!

There’s a certain magic to Christmas in Europe, where days are short and Kris Kringle could be around any cobblestoned corner. Begin your Rhine holiday in Basel before boarding the AmaSonata. Sail to Breisach and enter the Middle Ages in Riquewihr or tour Freiburg’s gothic Minster. Stroll the covered bridges of Strasbourg or savour a mulled wine in its Christmas Market. Sail to Speyer, one of Germany’s oldest cities, and visit romantic Heidelberg. Shop in Rüdesheim’s vast Christmas Market, enjoy a wine tasting and walk the Drosselgasse, a narrow alley lined with wine taverns and restaurants. Cruise the Rhine Gorge, discover Koblenz and visit Cologne’s Christmas Market before ending in Amsterdam with time to buy a few last-minute stocking stuffers.
