St. Lucia

Saint Lucia

The island of St. Lucia is for travellers seeking pleasure and enrichment through the wonder of the undiscovered, the adventure of the unfamiliar, the freshness of the unspoiled and the stimulation of the exotic. Though a spattering of resort developments on St Lucia have enhanced tourism opportunities for the island, it is still a long way from being sanitized and overdeveloped. This tropical paradise is perfect for travellers looking to get away from the commercial tourist zones of other Caribbean destinations.

Saint Lucia is an island nation in the eastern Caribbean and is part of the Lesser Antilles. It is located north of the islands of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and northwest of Barbados and is one of the Windward Islands, named for Saint Lucy of Syracuse. It is more mountainous than many other Caribbean islands, offering stunning views from within the Pitons.

Like all Caribbean islands, St Lucia enjoys a hot, tropical climate throughout the year. The average daily temperatures of 27°C tend to be tempered by trade winds, creating what many would deem to be the perfect climate. The driest time on the island is between January and March but showers can occur throughout the year, though they are usually over quickly. Hurricane season is generally from June to November.
