Canada’s youngest province and oldest land, Newfoundland is home to cod tongues, fiddle music, baked apples and legendary hospitality. Begin your discovery in St. John’s before venturing to Amelia Earhart’s Transatlantic launching spot. See lighthouses and colourful fishing villages, and visit the fjords, waterfalls and wild beauty of Gros Morne National Park. Discover the earliest known European settlement in the Americas and cruise Iceberg Alley in search of whales. Sample succulent local cuisine and maybe stomp your foot to some down-home fiddling. Visit the Auk Island Winery and be the “b’y” and become an honorary Newfoundlander at a screech-in.
