Why do I love being a Travel Consultant?

The travel industry is constantly changing and evolving, there are endless opportunities to learn about new destinations and ways to travel. I love being at the forefront of this and sharing this knowledge with our CAA Members.

St. Lucia.

Caribbean

Cruises have so much to offer. Even if clients are skeptical first-time cruisers, they almost always end up having an amazing time. Travellers can fill their vacation with as many (or as few) activities as they please. And cruising also offers variable durations and itineraries and gives people the opportunity to visit countries they may not typically think of when planning a land vacation.

My most recent trip was a Caribbean cruise with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. I think this has been my favourite trip so far. Being able to experience three different countries on one trip is fantastic.

Insider tip: Look at the ship as a destination in itself. Ships often have many fun activities to offer, delicious food and drinks and excellent quality shows.

Mexico

Whether you’re in search of a luxury resort or a budget experience, Mexico offers a dizzying array of possibilities. In Mexico you’ll find big, crowded cities, ancient ruins, stunning landscapes, gorgeous beaches, adventure and more. As one of the most biodiverse countries in the world, Mexico is perfect for nature lovers. How does releasing baby sea turtles or diving and snorkeling around the world’s second largest barrier reef sound? Find out in Mexico!

Insider tip: Visit the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where most of the eastern population of the monarch butterfly spends the winter. They fly up from Canada every year and end up here!

Havana.

Cuba

Cuba is a unique destination, famous for classic American cars, music, mojitos and cigars. Those are just a few of the things that come to mind when we think of Cuba. Visit Havana and take a tour in a vintage automobile, see some of the best live music of your life, marvel at the Baroque and Neoclassical architecture and savour the food. Cuba is an unparalleled experience.

Insider tip: The internet is not available everywhere in Cuba. You might as well just go with it and live like you did before we were permanently connected to our smartphones.
